Stupid Things I've Heard At Work Part 1

I work at a store that sells items for teachers. We have books, classroom decoratives, toys, games, pencils, etc.
The name of the store is basically - Tools For Teaching.

This is a REAL call  that I received recently.

Photobucket{{{Ring}}}

Tools for Teaching. This is Katie. How can I help you?

Uh. Hi. This is John. Do you guys have Teacher’s supplies?

We sure do John.

Like…right there in the store?

Yes sir. Right here in the store.

That I can come in and look at?

Of course. The store is full of all kinds of teachers supplies.

And you have them right there? In the store?

Sure do. Are you looking for something specific that I can help you find?

Not really. I just need some stuff.

(I look around, searching for a hidden camera or someone on a cell phone, pranking me.)Well, we have lots of stuff.

Are you open?

Currently, yes.

Are you open later?

Until 6.

What about in August? Will you be open in August?

Absolutely.

And you have teachers supplies IN the store? (still doubtful that I'm telling the truth)
Photobucket

Yes.

Ok. See you in August before 6.

Oh..kay. See you in Aug-

This conversation got me thinking about all the stupid things I have heard while at work.
There have been some doozies.  I realized that I have so many stories like this, that I could make a 5 million part series.

What are some stupid things that YOU hear at work?

Monday

Questions and questionable fillings

In case there is anyone still reading this sadly forsaken blog [hi mom], I thought it best to drop in and say hello.

But first, how was your Easter? Religious? Happy? Chocolate filled? All or None of the above?
Mine was just lovely. Thank you for asking.

Anywhoozie, today I am going to pose a question. Possibly multiple questions, depending on how scattered and candy-hungover my thoughts are.

Are you ready?
Q: What exactly is the orange stuff in the middle of a Cadbury Creme Egg?

Wait. No. That's not my question. Well, it is a question I have, and I believe to this day that the orange stuff is much too "yolk realistic" and that is the reason I don't care for Cadbury Eggs but I digress...
Really. That's just nasty.

Focus Kate!

Ok. My question is this: What is the driving force behind your blog? Why do you do it? What keeps you coming back?  Is it that you love to write? The connections you make with other bloggers? The attention? The money?  {I could go on and on here...}

I would love to hear your honest, completely stripped-down-soul bearing answers.

Can you help me?  Why do you blog?

If not, can you tell me what that dang orange stuff is?

Tuesday

I'm honored

Someone found this blog by searching the phrase:

Missed Opportunity funny blog

I feel like I've made it.*
Screen shot taken, printed and will be posted on my fridge this evening.

*this is much more exciting than the fact that this blog has been found by searching this phrase too:
Chubby girl JCPenney

Win some, lose some I guess.

Wednesday

I need some help. Shocking. I know.

This picture has nothing to do with this post in any way.

For quite some time now, I have been toying with the idea of a great big blog overhaul. I have been undecided about what to do but with such a small blogging budget ($0.00 to be exact) the choice has been relatively easy. Nothing.

However.

My husband has given me the gift of a new blog design for my coming birthday. How flipping cool is that?! (Thanks Husband that isn't reading this.)

So, here I sit. In a quandary.
Do I just redesign NMO

OR

start from scratch with the new blog of my dreams?

While No Missed Opportunities is a good name (and a pretty good way to live life), I don't know that it represents my personality and what I hope to accomplish with this blog (which is different now that my blog has evolved a bit.)

So, what I need are your professional opinions.

Which route should I go?

What advice do you have?

Have you overhauled your blog?
What are the pros and cons that I may not be thinking of?

I am even open to hearing new title suggestions.

The following have already been suggested:

The dork's blog.

Sharksnake.

This is my blog title.

Indiana Jones.

Katie always late-y

What's a blog?

I'm Hungry

Writing I don't HAVE to do but I do anyway

Ugh.
Thank you to my family members who gave those fascinating though not very helpful suggestions.

Can you do better for me?

I do have an idea for a name but we shall see.

Thank you in advance because I know I am going to get a hundred helpful comments on this post.**hint

Saturday

Confused = Me. And kinda ticked about it.

OK. This is not really a post, but I just needed to say this and Twitter only lets me use 140 characters and I couldn't shorten this rant enough. My Facebook friends are not all privy to the fact that I have a blog.
Voila. Random rant for mah blog.

I started another blog over at Wordpress with the intention of eventually moving there forever. I really like how Wordpress blogs look and I especially like that they have mobile versions of blogs. I really appreciate that because that is how I do most of my blog reading.

Well, maybe it's just me but I can NOT figure Wordpress out. Every time I sign in I get confused and then angry and end up signing right back out.
Am I just too accustomed to Blogger settings? Is Blogger just better?  Are we the only intelligent life in the universe? Who really killed John F. Kennedy? I may NEVER know. Thanks a lot Wordpress.

Well played Blogger.
